IN SPORT App Builds Early Momentum as Audience Engagement Nears One Hour Per User

A new sports storytelling platform is beginning to gain traction, with the IN SPORT App surpassing 2,100 registrations and recording strong early engagement from users.

The platform’s first official performance report shows audiences are spending close to an hour on average engaging with content on the app, signalling strong interest in the deeper storytelling approach the platform is bringing to sport.

The data covers the reporting period from 31 December 2025 through to 12 March 2026, marking the first formal update since the platform’s global launch earlier this year alongside ambassadors and supporters connected to the Arthur Beetson Foundation.

According to the report, the app has recorded 2,138 registrations, with 2,907 active users accessing the platform across multiple devices.

The engagement figures suggest audiences are not only downloading the platform but spending significant time exploring its growing content library as the weekly content schedule begins to roll out.

“We are incredibly proud of the early support the platform has received,” the IN SPORT team said.

“The engagement metrics show people are not just downloading the app — they are spending real time watching and engaging with the stories.”

A Different Approach to Sports Media

While much of modern sports coverage focuses on scores, highlights and commentary, the IN SPORT App was created to explore the broader stories behind sport.

The platform features long-form conversations with athletes, ambassadors and community leaders, alongside cultural storytelling that highlights the role sport plays in shaping communities.

Content available through the platform includes:

  • Athlete journeys and leadership conversations

  • Cultural perspectives connected to sport

  • Community and grassroots initiatives

  • Behind-the-scenes discussions with sporting figures

Many of these stories explore perspectives that are rarely seen through mainstream sports coverage, offering audiences deeper insight into the people and communities behind the game.

Building Toward Community Impact

The IN SPORT platform has been developed with a long-term vision to support initiatives that strengthen sport and community.

Working alongside partners connected to the Arthur Beetson Foundation, the platform aims to highlight positive grassroots activity and cultural storytelling while exploring ways the platform can contribute to future programs.

Special events delivered through the platform — including Queensland Murri Carnival (QMC) broadcasts — will also create opportunities to support initiatives connected to the Foundation.

Together, these partnerships reflect a broader vision for IN SPORT: connecting sport, culture and community storytelling, while helping amplify the impact of programs that create opportunity for the next generation.
